Ready and well equipped for all the rigours of cyclocross racing, the Focus Mares CX Rival Disc Cyclocross Bike 2016 has been developed with US Cyclocross champion Jeremy Powers to ensure it is ready to win on the World Cup circuit.

The CC P2T 10 Carbon Fibre Disc frame has had a lightweight and stiff Mares CX P2T 10 Carbon T4 fork added. This results in a ride offering direct steering, comfort and pin sharp handling. Mud is this frames friend, as generous tyre clearance has been added to the fork as well as widely spaced, chunky seat stays.

Several features really set this cyclocross bike apart. First is the internal routing of cables and hydraulic lines inside the frame for protection and to prevent you becoming entangled when shouldering the bike. This prolongs their life and ensures flawless shifting every time. More unique though is the Rapid Axle Technology (RAT) which gives the excellent strength and lateral stiffness of thru axles with the fastest wheel-change system ever. Time saved changing a wheel in a race or to repair a puncture during your commute is highly valuable.

A superb finishing kit is highlighted by the saddle and handlebar, both from Fizik. The Aliante Manganese saddle provides the required levels of comfort to keep you fresh lap after lap. This is matched by the superb SRAM Rival eleven speed components. This gives you excellent eleven speed shifting and enables you to save even more weight over the already impressive Ultegra version. Furthermore, the SRAM Rival Hydraulic Disc Brakes give you the best performance in power and modulation for assured breaking performance in all weathers and conditions.

The bike is fantastically completed with the A-Class CEX CD 4.0 DB disc wheelset that is fitted with the striking looking Schwalbe Rocket Ron Evo Focus Edition 622 X 33 tyres, showing more of the upgrades for this model. Together they create a highly reliable, fast and exciting set of wheels that will allow you to drop your opposition at will.
