Focus Mares CX 105 Disc Cyclocross Bike 2016
The basis of this Focus Mares CX 105 Disc Cyclocross Bike 2016 is the race tuned Focus Mares CC P2T 10 Carbon frame and it is this that sets this range apart. The more race orientated and aggressive geometry than the Mares AX, highlights the World Cup winning pedigree of this cyclocross bike. Make no mistake, should you want a lighter and classier commute bike, this is certainly an excellent option.
This carbon fibre frame has had a lightweight and stiff Mares CX P2T 10 Carbon T4 fork added. This results in a ride offering direct steering, comfort and pin sharp handling. Mud is this frame's friend, as generous tyre clearance has been added to the fork as well as widely spaced, chunky seat stays.
Several features really set this cyclocross bike apart. First is the internal routing of cables and hydraulic lines inside the frame for protection and to prevent you becoming entangled when shouldering the bike. This prolongs their life and ensures flawless shifting every time. Even more noteworthy though is the Rapid Axle Technology (RAT) which gives the excellent strength and lateral stiffness of thru axles with the fastest wheel-change system ever. Time saved changing a wheel in a race or to repair a puncture during your commute is highly valuable.
Focus have provided the high quality finishing kit for the saddle, seat post, stem and handlebars. This is exceeded though by the excellent Shimano 105 components. These give you excellent 11-speed shifting that is fast, precise and highly durable. Furthermore, the TRP HY/RD Disc Brakes give you the power and modulation of hydraulic disc brakes, whilst also being compatible with cable actuated lever systems. The best of both worlds.
The bike is fantastically completed with the AClass CEX CD 4.0 DB wheelset that is fitted with the striking looking Schwalbe Rocket Ron Focus Edition 622 X 33 tyres. Together they create a highly reliable, fast and exciting set of wheels.

Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. Visit our Bike Assembly page to see how you assemble your new bike once you receive it.
All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
