The Zipp 202 Firecrest Carbon Clincher Black Decal Front Wheel 2015 is a top of the range wheel, ideal for mountainous roads and when the tarmac rears skywards. The 620 gram weight makes it an agile, responsive high performance choice.
The Firecrest rim profile makes for a more stable wheel and improves contact between the tyre and the rim. This 25.4 millimetre width is paired with a 32 millimetre depth to offer excellent aerodynamics.
Designed using Computational Fluid Dynamics software, the wheel's handling has been optimised to deal with real world conditions, such as crosswinds.
A high quality carbon fibre construction uses a Zipp 88 hub and 18 strong, lightweight Sapim CX-Ray spokes. These are laced in a radial pattern for added strength and are paired with Sapim external nipples.
Reducing drag, the pioneering dimpled surface makes this wheel as fast downhill as it is up.
Finished with fully die cut matte black rim decals, this wheel is just as at home on the race circuit as it is at a sportive.
