Rotor Flow Aero BB30 110BCD Cranks (no rings)

Take your time trial or road bike to the next level of aerodynamics and performance with this Rotor Flow Aero BB30 110BCD Cranks (no rings).

Good enough for the likes of Garmin Sharp Barracuda, you know you are getting a serious bit of equipment.

Often, aerodynamic cranks suffer from increased weight or reduced stiffness. But not here. Rotor have opted for a 100% aluminium construction utilising a new 7055 alloy for superb rigidity.

Despite this, weight is kept down thanks to the Trinity drilling system. Trinity drilling puts three full-depth holes, but leaves behind a boxtrellised structure, resembling that of box bridges. In terms of the ride, this gives you a phenomenal stiffness to weight ratio for superb performance.

The all important aerodynamics, that are reported to save six seconds over a 40KM TT, come from the use of technologies from Rotor's 3D+ crank. This allows this crank to be used perfectly for TT and road use as its design allows it to deal with the disturbed air flowing over it from the front wheel and fork.

Rotor have even gone out of their way to make your life easier with the revolutionary aluminium UBB30 axle. This means you can upgrade a huge number of bikes with these 3D30 Cranks. Their compatibility covers BSA (68 & 73), ITA, BB86, BBB89, BB92, BB30, BB386 evo and BBRight bikes.

Another issue Rotor has overcome is that of balance. Twin Leg Concept (TLC) gives you the optimum in balanced cranksets. Furthermore, these cranks feature Appropriate Light Weight Material Application (ALMA) to keep them at a impressive 485 g (170 mm) considering the solidity of the design.

Finally, they tackled the issue of getting your rings angled for your riding by coming up with the new Micro Adjust Spider (MAS). This features alternative bolt hole placement allowing for intermediate positions between existing OCP (Optimum Chainring Position) of the Q-Ring. A standard crank in combination with the OCP of the Q-Rings, allows approximately 5 degrees of adjustment. Using Q-rings with this crankset allows for half positions giving approximately 2,5 degrees. This means that you can micro adjust the position of your Q rings, to suit your riding style.

Kit this crankset out with 110 BCD, ten or eleven speed, oval or round chainrings and start tearing apart the opposition.
