Maurten 160 Drink Mix

Maurten have utilised hydrogel technology to produce the first sports drink of this kind, with the aim of reducing the stomach issues often associated with ingesting large amounts of carbohydrates. Each sachet contains 40 grams of carbohydrates and 0.4 grams of salt to provide you with the energy you need and to prevent cramping.
One sachet is mixed with 500ml of water to produce a drink that converts to a hydrogel when in contact with the acid environment of the stomach. Once in hydrogel form, the carbohydrates and salts are smoothly transported to the intestines for absorption. You'll, therefore, be able to focus fully on your race with no risk of stomach discomfort.
Containing just five natural ingredients, you can be sure you're not ingesting anything nasty, and the formula is free from colours, preservatives and acids, with a neutral flavour and almost no aftertaste.
