The Assos T rallyShorts s7 MTB Bib Shorts marks the Swiss manufacturer's first foray into MTB specific shorts. Not known to do anything by half, with these shorts Assos have integrated cutting-edge technology and construction techniques with a MTB specific fit and seat pad to create a remarkable top-of-the line short, more than capable of dealing with any off-road exploits.
One of the key features are the Impactor Hip Pads which are not bulky or ridged but slim fitting and flexible. Made from viscoelastic polyurethane foam and eight millimetres thick, the pad is designed to offer the optimal level of protection without sacrificing comfort or inhibiting performance.
The short's construction is based on Assos' much sought after s7 shorts, but is adapted for MTB ergonomics, taking into account the more upright and less agressive riding position.
The Kompressor fabric and Campionissimo AEPD construction provides anatomical total comfort, aerodynamics and a superb degree of breathability that expels heat even in the most gruelling of conditions.
Rounding this off is a specifically designed MTB pad which offers better single impact protection than a road pad and is designed to absorb the more rugged terrain.
