The low profile combines with the dimpled disc surface to generate forward lift when used with Zipp's Tangente tyres. The dimpled surface acts in a similar way to that found on a golf ball; creating micro turbulence that acts to reduce drag.

The Super-9 Disc's hub features the stiff 17 mm axles of the 188 road hub along with adjustable bearing preload with the industry's only aero preload nut. Weighing less than 1000g, the wheel is ideally suited for use with 23mm tubular tyres and SRAM or Shimano 10/11-speed cassettes.
PLEASE NOTE: Valve stems must be at least 45 mm. Please use a 27 mm valve extender with all Zipp Tangente tyres. Integrated aero rear brakes in some frames may present clearance issues; please check compatibility before purchasing.
