Trek Domane SL 5 Road Bike 2018
Designed with long-distance comfort in mind, the Trek Domane SL 5 Road Bike 2018 is perfect for the intrepid riders who doesn’t sway when the miles start rolling. The frame is constructed from Trek’s renowned 500 Series OCLV Carbon, which has been developed over the years in their base in Waterlooville, Wisconsin. Together, with the carbon fork, these two are the perfect combination, offering supreme vibration dampening to ensure you’re comfortable throughout every aspect of your ride.
Front and rear IsoSpeed technology has been included to further this comfort, allowing the fork and seatpost to move independently of the frame, without affecting efficiency over longer distances. In fact, it has been noted that riders feel fresher after long rides, allowing them to go further thanks to this supreme comfort.
A BB90 bottom bracket comes as standard on Trek Domane’s at this level, and this bottom bracket is renowned for its stiffness, rigidity and power transfer. The E2 tapered head tube completes the base componentry ensemble, ensuring that when you’re sprinting out the saddle and laying down the power, there’s no flex or loss of energy.
Shimano 105 5800, 11-speed has been recruited for reliable, precise shifting, and its wide range of gearing and an 11-28t cassette ensures you don’t run out of spin when tackling the harshest of climbs. Shimano 105 is also behind the predictable braking of the Domane SL 5, giving immediate, mechanical assurance as you head down those long, technical descents.
Improving speed and traction by the means of a tubeless ready construction, the Bontrager rims and Bontrager R1 Hard-Case Lite 28mm clincher tyres perform beautifully together and allow you to head out the door in utmost confidence of your kit. The rims are lightweight, strong, and further this bike's durability over rougher ground, whilst the tyres are ready to take on the cobbles without falter.

Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
