This Trek Domane Race Shop Limited Koppenberg Edition Road Frameset 2016 has changed the road bike market for the better. No longer does an all out race bike have to be bone jarringly uncomfortable thanks to the IsoSpeed decoupler and IsoSpeed fork. These fantastic features are subtly incorporated to preserve the stunning looks of a performance orientated bike that is built to Trek's H1 geometry to allow you to achieve the most aggressive and aerodynamic position possible.

IsoSpeed technology in the frame allows the seat tube to rotate independently from the top-tube-to-seat stay junction, increasing vertical compliance to twice that of the nearest competitor, without compromising pedalling efficiency. The IsoSpeed fork is the classics edition so has a generous ride-tuned sweep with the shape increasing compliance for a smoother ride, and unique dropout placement optimising the wheelbase while an extra curve above the dropout in the swept-leg design creates a smaller angle to the direction of road vibrations. This angle increases fore/aft compliance, better positioning the fork leg to absorb road force rather than transmitting it straight to the rider. The fork lateral stiffness has also been increased maximising both smoothness and control. Both aspects resulting in a bike that you can ride faster for longer.

Power Transfer Construction ensures you get the most out of every pedal stroke by optimising the head tube, down tube, bottom bracket and rear wheel connection. This Domane features an E2 head tube which tapers from a 1.5" lower bearing to a 1-1/8" upper bearing, and is wider side to side than front to back. This asymmetric steering system minimises weight while maximising power transfer and keeping the fork stiffer under cornering loads. Resulting in a more powerful and confident ride.

An essential feature for the rough cobbled courses that this frame is designed for is the 3S integrated chain keeper. This elegant solution provides flawless gear shifting even on rough roads and under heavy loads. Another feature for rough roads are the steel dropouts that add durability and ensure perfect shifting even when you are being bounced around.

The Trek-exclusive carbon BB90 bottom bracket makes the frame lighter, stiffer, and quicker to accelerate. DuoTrap compatibility sees the end of cable ties allowing you to seamlessly integrate a computer sensor into the frame to measure speed, distance, and cadence with no added aerodynamic drag. It works with all the major ANT wireless technology players, including Bontrager, Garmin, PowerTap, and SRM. It is the kind of feature you would expect on a professionals's race bike.
