The injection-moulded nylon composite sole provides great stiffness for a shoe at this level. It reaches a 6.0 on the Stiffness Index, giving you, the rider, a great power transfer for sprinting out of the saddle or conserving energy over long periods of time in the saddle.
The difference between the Specialized Elite Road Shoe and Comp Road Shoe is the closure system of which Specialized have incorporated. Using a ratchet buckle and over strap within the Elite, the rider is safe in the knowledge that once the buckle is down and the strap is closed, your foot isn’t going to move. Furthering on from this, the buckle features micro-adjustment buckles to make precise changes to your shoes fit on the go.
