The Specialized Amira SL4 Comp Womens Road Bike 2017 bridges the gap between what you need and what you want, by bringing together a super lightweight, stiff and responsive FACT 9r carbon fibre frame, with equal quality components, such as a Shimano Ultegra 6800 drivetrain and DT Swiss R460 wheels. Altogether, a combination ready to take your speed and endurance to the next level.

The FACT 9r carbon fibre frame is incredibly responsive, stiff and lightweight, giving you the perfect base to lay your power down into. Across the entire range, the frame of the Amira is equal in weight, strength and stiffness, meaning it doesn’t matter if you’re riding a 44cm or a 56cm, everyone gets the same comfort.

Specialized’s Women’s Competitive Geometry has been specifically developed to enable the most comfortable and performance-driven position possible, giving you that extra boost on those long climbs or enabling you to get down on the drops on technical descents.

Away from the frame, the FACT carbon fork offers great handling precision, whilst absorbing road chatter and vibrations for a much more comfortable ride. The Women’s specific Specialized Comp Shallow Drop Handlebar and 3D-forged alloy stem enhance this by giving the perfect ratio of leverage to stiffness when sprinting on the drops, meaning it doesn’t matter if you’re cornering tight, hairpin bends or manoeuvring through the peloton, your steering will take you where you want to go.

To match these impressive features, Specialized have instilled their confidence in Shimano’s Ultegra 6800, 11-speed drivetrain, bringing everything you want from the Amira SL4 Comp into fruition. It has a wide range of gearing that’s aimed towards more confident, performance-driven riders and the stiffness and rigidity of this drivetrain exemplifies this. When you’re sitting back and spinning up climbs, you’ll be glad Specialized went the extra mile to source this, as each flick of the shift lever enables a fast, precise and reliable shift between gears.

Shimano Ultegra has also been incorporated into the brakes of the Amira SL4 Comp. Their caliper brakes offer great stopping power, whilst remaining lightweight and aerodynamic enough to give a small performance boost over long distances.

The DT Swiss R460 wheel and Specialized Turbo Pro 700x23mm tyre combination finish off the package, giving you a strong, lightweight and capable base that’s ready for everything you can throw at it. The wheels stay stiff through high-watt sprints, whilst still remaining light enough to get you up climbs more efficiently. The Turbo Pro 700x23mm tyres provide great grip and traction in tricky situations, giving you more confidence every time you step foot on the pedals.
