Ideal for the aggressive trail riders, the Mavic XA Pro Carbon MTB Wheelset 2018 confidently shreds through technical terrains with aid of its optimised wider rim profile and incredibly durable carbon rim construction.
Composed with an enhanced fibre lacing, the 100% unidirectional carbon fibre rim boasts increased lateral stiffness perfect for transferring powerful wheel spins, whilst the lightweight yet strong properties of the carbon construction that meet the demands of modern day trail riding, resisting hard impacts. The enhanced lacing process increases the vertical compliance of the wheelset enabling a comfortable experience when speeding through an array of trail terrains. A wider 26mm rim profile ensures you of precision control and traction when manoeuvring fast corners, or rolling over technical terrains such as rock gardens or root riddles trails.
Providing a strengthened connection between the rim and hub are two crossed spokes that increase the integral strength of the wheelset, enabling an agreeable amount of flex to dampen trail shock. Raring to go and ready to translate every pedal stroke into powerfully responsive outputs, the ITS-4 hub has been composed of a lightweight alloy body that encompasses four pawls that effectively and efficiently utilise a two by two system to excel you steep terrains effortlessly.
Proving to be an excellent rig upgrade, Mavic have ensured their wheelset is kept up to date with modern tyre technology, by utilising a UST rim design you'll be assured to experience greater traction control, comfort and puncture resistance presented by the use of a tubeless setup. If you're not ready for tubeless tyres, no worries, this wheelset accommodates for both clincher tyres and tubeless.
