Simplistic and smooth rolling, the Mavic XA Elite 27.5+ MTB Wheelset 2018 meets the demands of modern day trail riding. Fitting plus sized bikes, this wheelset shreds through fast rolling corners and rolls over technical terrains effortlessly, with desirable confidence.
Utilising the ISM 4D machining process combined with Mavic's exclusive Maxtal aluminium proves this wheelset to be robust and lightweight, boasting a greater strength to weight ratio assuring you of long lasting quality even through an array of trail sessions. Fitting plus sized bikes, the 40mm rim accommodates wide tyres up to 3.2", providing excellent support and traction for that boost of confidence when leaning into tight berms or tackling technical terrains.
A crossed two spoke pattern strengthens the integral strength of the wheelset whilst providing uncompromised flex to aid in damping trail shock and vibrations, providing precision handling when it's most needed.
At the heart of this wheelset runs the ITS-4 hub, designed to dominate terrains and excel uphills. This hub comprises of four internal pawls that work homogeneously two by two to offer efficient rolling speed and power transfers. Successively fast and lightweight, the sealed bearings ensure long lasting performances, resisting foreign contaminants so you can be assured of getting the most out of your wheelset.
Keeping up to date with the latest advancements in tyre technology, the UST designed rim ensures that you can fit UST tubeless tyres, with the benefits of increased traction handling, comfort and fewer punctures. If however, you aren't ready for a tubeless setup, don't worry this wheelset accommodates for both, leaving you with a versatile choice.
