A large part of the comfort comes from the box section rim extrusion and low spoke count, especially when this is paired with the 25 millimetre Mavic Yksion Elite tyres that come included with these wheels.
It is the light welded rims that will help you spin through the miles and up most inclines. Further assistance in this area comes from the aluminium hub which contains double sealed cartridge bearings of the incredibly tough QRM variety. These spin with low friction as well as making this wheelset even more durable.
As with all Mavic wheels, you can depend on these Kysriums thanks to a variety of factors, including the bladed straight pull spokes that give these better strength than J-bent ones. The count is increased to 24 to meet specific disc brake requirements. These are then laced in a two cross configuration to further enhance the durability of this wheel as well as ensure that your efforts and braking forces, are securely transferred all the way to the road. This can also benefit your climbing, as the lacing increases lateral stiffness, which you will really notice when out of the saddle.
The aluminium and steel hubs contain double sealed cartridge bearings of the incredibly tough QRM variety. These spin with low friction as well as making this wheelset even more durable. Handily, the front wheel can be converted to 15 millimetre thru axle without bother should this be required. This fantastic wheelset is also available as a centre lock version.
