The Mavic Ksyrium 25 Wheelset 2016 is made for flying through the miles and over hills thanks to its comfortable, smooth and light design.
The Kysrium range is the most sought after for people looking for a noticeable upgrade on the wheels that came with their bike, or for people who have heard of their legendary quality.
A large part of the comfort comes from the box section rim extrusion and low spoke count, especially when this is paired with the 25 mm Mavic Yksion Elite tyres that come included with these wheels.
It is the light welded rims that will help you spin through the miles and up any incline. Further assistance in this area comes from the aluminium hub, which contains double sealed cartridge bearings of the incredibly tough QRM variety. These spin with low friction as well, making this wheelset even more durable.
As with all Mavic wheels, you can depend on these Kysriums thanks to a variety of factors, including the bladed straight pull spokes that provide better strength that J-bent ones. The twenty that are used here are then laced radially in the front and following the Isopulse (radial drive side, two cross non-drive side) pattern in the rear to further enhance the durability of this wheel as well as ensure that your efforts are securely transferred all the way to the ground. Again this can also be seen to benefit your climbing as the Isopulse lacing uses a wider drive side bracing angle to balance spoke tension and this increase lateral stiffness, which you will really notice when out of the saddle.
