Now even lighter than before, the Mavic Crossmax Light 27.5 MTB Wheelset 2018 encompasses design profiles and ride quality from it's standard Crossmax sibling, but with a weight reducing process that boasts to be stronger as well as lighter.
Machined from S6106 aluminium, Mavic have utilised a SUP joint welding process that increases the integral strength of the rim whilst minimising the weight of this already lightweight material, resulting in a greater strength to weight ratio for hard hitting rides. With a 22mm classic rim profile, you can be assured of sufficient cornering traction and control to meet the demands of cross country riding.
Laced with steel spokes that feature a two-cross pattern for durable strength, this wheelset additionally hosts a rear TS-2 hub that excels over an array of terrain with smooth efficiency. Constructed with two powerful internal pawls that effectively transfer each pedal stroke with reliable outputs, this hub encompasses an alloy monobloc axle that supports high power output with minimal flex.
Giving you the power to utilise the benefits of tubeless tyres, the UST rim holds the capacity to roll on either clincher or UST tubeless tyres, enabling you to experience greater traction control, comfort and improved puncture resistance when equipped with a tubeless setup.
