The rims are constructed from Mavic’s renowned 3K carbon fibre, keeping the overall weight of the wheels down to an impressive 1545g, whilst the 40mm rim depth slices through the wind without compromising on manoeuvrability or control.
Using a carbon brake track with iTgMax technology, Mavic has been able to dissipate heat efficiently, providing the same braking power at every stage of your ride. This technology also elongates the durability of the Cosmic Carbon 40’s - ensuring you have a wheelset that’s set to last the test of time.
Steel spokes are incredibly strong, and with 16 on the front and 20 on the rear, you’re provided with great tension and rigidity for a more stable ride.
GripLink and PowerLink technology in the front and rear tyres have been incorporated to increase grip, control and keep the rolling resistance low for a more efficient ride. GripLink is optimised on the front with the Mavic Yksion Pro GripLink and PowerLink on the rear with the Mavic PowerLink rear tyre.
