Often a fear with carbon rims is a sub-par braking surface, however, this is not the case with the ENVE 4.5 SES Tubular Front rim as it has a wonderful moulded-in braking surface, which gives the brakes a better grip for increased stopping power. The braking surface also optimises heat management and modulation, so heavy braking doesn't damage the rim.
The 4.5 model also has the best lateral stiffness of any of the Smart ENVE System wheel models for the optimal path through the air and so you can transfer the highest amount of power through to the road.
With this new iteration ENVE have improved the rim's tubular tyre bed to optimise speed and minimise rolling resistance.
