Chris King No Threadset Alloy 1 inch
Chris King was one of the first bicycle component manufacturers to offer a threadless headset. The modular design of the headset he developed in 1976 served as a platform for him to transform the concept of threadless into one of the most iconic pieces of equipment in cycling history.
The Chris King 'NoThreadSet' is simple which essentially is its strength. It is equally at home on road or mountain bikes and has been ridden to mountain bike world titles and has crossed the finish line of the Tour de France on winner's bike.
The 'NoThreadSet' features aluminum cups, bearing cap, and stem cap built around their renowned stainless steel sealed bearings. Each 'NoThreadSet' includes a stainless steel baseplate and Chris King's custom starnut (which is only for use with alloy or steel steerer tubes, a proprietry expander system MUST be used with a carbon steerer!) and adjustment bolt.
