Cannondale Trail 2 27.5 Womens Mountain Bike 2018
The Cannondale Trail 2 27.5 Mountain Bike provides a great platform for women to branch off-piste and get a taste of the exhilarating world found beyond the tarmac.
The updated Trail frame features the same cutting-edge technology found on some of Cannondale's higher end offerings, including BOOST rear hub spacing, a tapered headtube and SAVE technology. The wide 148mm BOOST spacing helps to increase the bikes stiffness, whilst providing adequate space for wider tyres, while the tapered headtube allows any current fork to be retrofitted and further increases stiffness too. Comfort is addressed by the SAVE technology, which effectively twists the rear stays in such a way that they absorb a lot of trail vibration.
The SR Suntour XCM-RL forks are a welcome addition, helping to increase comfort on rough, unpredictable trails with their 100mm of coil sprung travel. These are also a versatile option thanks to the remote lockout feature. This allows the rider to turn the forks on and off via a lever on the handlebar, the advantage being reduced pedal bob when riding on smoother trails or the road.
Utilising DC 5.0 27.5 inch wheels, the Trail 2 provides a snappy, smile-inducing ride, allowing maximum speed to be held through tighter corners. The WTB Ranger Comp tyres pair perfectly, offering high levels of grip across a variety of terrains, whilst their 2.25 inch width further increases comfort, for a stable, fast and confidence inspiring ride in all conditions.
Finishing off the bikes impressive specification is the Shimano Altus drivetrain and M315 brakes. Offering a wide gear range thanks to its 9-speed 11-36t cassette, the Trail 2 is capable of scaling the steepest of mountains and pedalling flat-out through open singletrack equally efficiently. The hydraulic brakes ensure high levels of stopping power, whilst their sealed unit design keeps the performance consistently high, regardless of the external conditions.
Alongside the women's specific frame geometry, the bike's components have also been tailored to suit females. Featuring a set of Cannondale C4 680mm wide handlebars and Stage 3 Women's Ergo saddle, comfort is ensured, no matter the distance or gradient of the path ahead.

Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
