Cannondale Scapel-Si Carbon Hi-Mod Race 29R Mountain Bike 2017
Introducing the Cannondale Scapel-Si Carbon Hi-Mod Race 29R Mountain Bike 2017 - quite possibly the greatest XC bike Cannondale have ever produced. The BallisTec Hi-MOD Carbon frame layup features a geometry that has been honed for the highest level of XC competition. Short chainstays for traction and agility, a slack head angle for stability at speed and tight “trail” measurement for nimble handling at slower speeds - make this the perfect choice for the modern XC rider.
Alongside this race-ready geometry comes race ready specs. First off, the suspension is accounted for with a Cannondale Lefty 2.0 Carbon fork with 100mm of travel and a RockShox Monarch XX rear shock with 100mm of travel.
Snappy and responsive gearing is essential for high-level XC racing so the inclusion of Shimano's one-by XT 11-speed groupset is certainly welcome. The pro-level gearing uses an 11-42 cassette for a wide gear ratio - perfect for the varied terrain of an XC course. Shimano also provides the braking in the form of their XTR Race hydraulic disc brake.
As if all these pro-level components were not enough, Cannondale has also used ENVE's Carbon M50 tubeless ready wheels for the perfect blend of lightness and strength. The Cannondale Scapel-Si Carbon Hi-Mod Race 29R Mountain Bike comes fitted with Schwalbe's Racing Ralph EVO tyres for the ideal blend of traction, rolling speed and puncture resistance.

Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
