La Resistance is a brand new, gravel and tarmac one-day cycling challenge taking place in the French Alps in September 2016. This exciting event pays homage to the heroic men and women of the French Resistance and features up to 20km of mountain gravel roads, challenging mountain passes and spectacular mountain scenery in the heart of the Alps. The ride isn't a race or sportive where it's all about speed and time. La Resistance is a chance to enjoy the company of friends and take time to enjoy the amazing scenery and reflect. Two route options are offered (130km and 90km) to suit a range of abilities. The day is topped off by La Guinguette (pronounced La Gang-get), an amazing, vintage style beach party with live music, dancing and a selection of the best local food and drink to enjoy.
As the official retail partner of La Resistance, Sigma Sport is your first choice to pick up essential equipment and supplies to tackle the Alpine gravel. To give you the chance to join us out in France, we're running a competition to win a fantastic weekend trip to take part in the event. The lucky winner and their guest will not only get to take part in La Resistance and La Guinguette after-party but also enjoy the beautiful scenery of Lake Annecy and charms of host village, Talloires.
