Rule 9 Evening 2013

On Thursday 7th November Sigma Sports hosted an evening to celebrate the start of the Winter Cycling season. There was over £1500 of clothing to be won, an open workshop with demos and a talk with James Fairbank from Rapha.

With the first raffle draw taking place at 6:30pm the store was buzzing with customers enjoying a Peroni or Prosecco and checking out the lastest winter clothing from AssosCastelliGoreMavic and Sportful

At 6:45pm our fantastic mechanic Keith gave a demonstration of the most efficient way to change an inner tube when you puncture out on the road, this proved very popular as people realised some simple changes they can make to their puncture fixing as efficient as possible.

James Fairbank then gave a very interesting talk on Rapha, explaining the history of the brand and where they are going in the future.

The prize draws continued throughout the evening with some very happy customers walking away with top of the range winter cycle clothing.

The last of our workshop demos offered customers some insight on the best way to index gears and keep the drive chain running smoothly, one of the most important things to learn to keep your winter riding as smooth as possible.

Throughout the evening we ran a Tacx Virtual Reality trainer competition challenging customers to ride from Hampton Wick to Hampton Court palace using the Tacx VR system which incorporates Google street view so you can choose anywhere in the world to ride your bike when it’s just too dangerous to be out on the roads.

Thank you to everyone who came along to visit the store. Sign up to the Sigma Sports Newsletter for information on our next event, coming up before Christmas!
