Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Comp Carbon 650b Disc Mountain Bike 2017
If you want heightened grip, handling and control on the trail, then look no further than the Specialized Stumpjumper FSR Comp Carbon 650b 2017. Every aspect of this bike has been designed, from the ground up, to provide you with the ultimate blend of efficiency, confidence and performance on the trails, allowing you to go faster and harder than ever before - all without breaking your budget.
The main difference between the 29er and 650b version of this model are the wheel and tyre sizes. The Roval Traverse 650b wheels provide compliance and rigidity over tough terrain, allowing you to corner and manoeuvre better than ever before, whilst the Specialized Slaughter and Butcher GRID 650b tyre combination offers incredible grip and puncture resistance for a more enjoyable and reliable ride.
The frame is constructed with Specialized’s FACT 9m carbon fibre that commands an ultimately low weight to provide snappy, responsive handling, whilst the rear end features their M5 alloy designed to soak up impacts and ensure efficiency when climbing technical terrain.
Another way that the Stumpjumper FSR Comp Carbon differentiates itself from the rest of the trail-specific market is the SWAT Door technology that Specialized introduced to the market earlier this year. This technology allows you to store mini pumps, multi tools and even sandwiches in the downtube, snuggly fitted behind an integrated water bottle cage. This has been proven not to compromise rigidity, too - thanks to the reinforced carbon fibre around this area.
Incorporating a RockShox Yari front fork and RockShox Monarch RT rear shock allows the rider to take on any feature, rock garden and root/rocky section they can set their eyes on. Soaking up all the impacts, they both feature rebound and compression adjustment to fully customise and perfect your riding style, whilst the 15x110mm Maxle Ultimate thru-axle on the front fork enhances stiffness and control on tricky terrain.
SRAM’s Guide R hydraulic disc brakes are known as some of the most powerful and consistent brakes on the mountain bike market and provide great heat modulation for long, enduring downhill sections. For this reason, Specialized have incorporated them with 160/180/200mm rotors.
SRAM’s GX rear derailleur offers a wide range of 11-gears that give both enough spin to climb technical gradients and more than adequate amounts of power to surge along the flats.
Finished with a Specialized Command Post IRcc dropper post and you can chop and change your position on the bike at the press of a button. So, when you’re climbing and you need greater efficiency, put yourself into the highest position on the seatpost and when you’re descending and need to put yourself in the most agile position, switch to the lowest.

Built, Checked, Tuned and Tested
All our bikes are fully built, checked, tuned and tested by our Cytech qualified mechanics and then securely packaged, ready for delivery. All you have to do is add the pedals (if included), attach the handlebars to the stem and tighten them following the included detailed instructions or by watching our video and using the provided FREE tools. All bikes collected from our shop, are built, tested and ready to ride. For hassle-free home delivery and bike set-up from a qualified mechanic use our Premier Delivery Service.
Please note, occasionally, manufacturers may change the specification without notice. Bicycles do not come with pedals unless otherwise specified. Bikes ordered for delivery will not arrive with the pedals installed, please refer to the owners manual and pedal installation guides provided for guidance. We do not install accessories to bikes, including mudguards. Bikes ordered for delivery that have tubeless compatible tyres and rims will arrive with inner tubes installed or with tubeless valves installed, this will be brand dependent. Sealant is available to be purchased separately.
