Specialized Deflect SL Pro Rain Jacket
Choosing the right waterproof jacket is a critical decision, thankfully with the Specialized Deflect SL Pro Rain Jacket you cannot go wrong.
This is because Specialized have used the Event 70 waterproof fabric that is a triple layered material. Adding to this is an outer polyamide shell that has been treated with Durable Water Repellent (DWR). As if this was not enough, a middle PTFE membrane has been added to the middle so that the jacket can breathe, which allows you to not overheat inside. Finally, there is a light hydrophilic lining that is elastic to allow freedom of movement and another layering of waterproof protection.
Not doing things by half measures, Specialized have made the full length zip waterproof as well as adding an inner flap for even more protection from the wind and rain. They have also allowed you to seal yourself in with the taped seams and velcro neck closure.
As an added safety feature, there are reflective prints so that you can be spotted in any light.
