Shimano's SM-RT86 XT Ice Tec 6-bolt disc rotor, 203 mm gives excellent performance made from a stainless steel and alloy 3-layer sandwich construction that manages heat while riding.

The clad steel, alloy and steel rotor construction allows heat generated from braking to radiate quickly through the aluminium core achieving surface temperature drops of around 50˚C.

When used with Ice-Tec pads surface temperatures can drop from around 400 to 300˚C, this provides great improvements in performance all round. Engineered to withstand massive heat build up and the heavy braking associated with long alpine descents, the Ice-Tec 6-bolt disc rotor is the perfect choice for use as part of the Shimano braking system.

Strength and rigidity has been dramatically improved thanks to the large forged alloy spider. The six bolt mounting system ensures a solid joint with the hub for a safe, secure and efficient rolling season after season.
