A mid range, high performance addition to any road, time trial, triathlon or cyclocross bike, the Shimano 105 5800 HollowTech II 11-Speed Chainset - Black is made from lightweight and strong forged, anodised aluminium crank arms. These use a hollow design, which reduces flex and weight.
Designed to work with Shimano HG-X 11-speed chains, the anodised SG-X aluminium chainrings house specially shaped teeth, which securely hold the chain, reducing the chances of slippage. This increased contact also improves power transfer making the chainset a perfect choice for those looking to race.
The HollowTech II design places the bottom bracket bearings further apart. This means the system can use larger bearings and an a larger axle diameter, thus adding stiffness.
Easy to install, adjust and maintain, the chainset can be used with both external or press-fit Shimano bottom brackets.
In a range of crank arm lengths and chainring configurations, whether you want a compact chainring setup or a traditional 53/39 setup, there are a wide range of options available.
