Wonderfully quite and very fast, this derailleur's unique clutch system eliminates chain slack, providing smoother, quieter and more secure chain travel.
First up is the Exact Actuation which allows for fast shifting on the most technical of terrain. This also ties in with the X-SYNC™ pulley, which features a 12-tooth design that helps control the chain’s lateral movement so you avoid chain slip on big drops and impacts.
In order to eliminate ghost shifting SRAM have employed the X-HORIZON design. This limits all movement to the horizontal axis and dramatically reduces the force needed to shift gear while also reducing the shifting jump to a absolute minimum.
Other features include the ROLLER BEARING CLUTCH and CAGE LOCK, which both help to promote smooth shifting and easy maintenance.
