Making use of the research and technology that goes into Mavic's highest quality wheels gives this Aksium wheel some real quality. New for this 2016 version is the wider lightweight rim. Research has shown that this gives tyres an increased volume in contact with the road for comfort and performance. It also means that the new rim can better fit tyres up to 32 mm in width.
The straight pull bladed spokes give these better strength than J-bent spokes as well as improved aerodynamics. The twenty spokes are laced radially to further enhance the durability of this wheel whilst keeping weight to a minimum.
The aluminium hub contains sealed cartridge bearings. The contained QRM bearings are the silkiest in the category. Combining all of the above has allowed Mavic to produce the highest possible ride quality with supreme durability at a fantastic price.
