Look Keo 2 Max Carbon Pedal with Cromo Axle
Maintaining its place as one of the lightest pedals in this category, the Look Keo 2 Max Carbon Pedal with Cromo Axle now also boasts a 12% larger contact area for great comfort.
This larger area comes in stainless steel moulded directly into the pedal to give better power transfer and durability. The body is then injected with carbon to save weight and improve stiffness.
Reliability is also stepped up through the use of an oversized axle that is then dual sealed. This protects the two miniature ball bearings (12 mm inner x 18 mm outer diameters) and needle roller bearing from any potential damage or corrosion. This is something that has been thoroughly tested by Look as each axle must survive a million cycles at 100 revolutions per minute with a 90kg (198lbs) load at the center of the pedal and an eccentric rotation (replicating a bump each revolution).
The final flourish is the adjustable Q-Factor. This is possible due to the 14 mm thread which allows a 2 mm extension by using specific washers. With this the Q-Factor can be changed to 55 mm from the original 53 mm.
