The Lake CX402 Road CFC Shoes Wide Width are designed in every way to maximise your performance and power transfer on the bike. A fully heat mouldable shell adds to the efficiency on offer, allowing you to customise the CX402's to your foot for the ultimate in on-bike comfort. The wider fit of this model allows space for those who tend to require a wider shoe base for comfort and fit.

Kangaroo leather has long been recognised as the best material for road cycling shoes as it offers the best level of fit, breathability and comfort whilst also being incredibly lightweight. The CX402's upper is constructed from Klite Kangaroo leather to give you the pinnacle in shoe performance across the board.

The custom fit carbon fibre sole is supremely stiff in order to provide the best power transfer, ensuring that no power is dissipated in the flex of the shoe while also maintaining the most favourable foot position in the pedal stroke.

Moulding the CX402's to your foot is easy, and once done, provides a range of ride altering features that'll see you not just lasting longer in the saddle, but pushing through your PB's, too. Simply take out the inner sole, place your shoe in the oven for five minutes, wait until the heel is supple and slide your foot into the shoe. This will form a perfect fit around your foot, enhancing your comfort and therefore improving your technique and lowering any chance of injury on the bike.

The CX402 Shoes are equipped with the three-hole cleat pattern meaning that a wide range of road cleats can be attached easily and with a great level of customisation. A replaceable heel strike pad means that you can walk around in these shoes safe in the knowledge that a worn out heel pad doesn't mean the need to buy a new pair of shoes.

For the lining, Lake decided to go with the material riders desire most and this is kangaroo leather. This leather gives the best fit and breathability as well as some of the highest levels of comfort and durability.

Lake utilises the dual side mounted push/pull Boa lacing system with releasable lace guides to give you the highest level of fit adjustment. Therefore, these shoes give you the ability to adjust your fit to the highest degree of precision even whilst riding.

The CFC Race Last is where the Lake CX402 really separates itself from the competition. The Race Last is shaped to optimise your power transfer to the pedals. By putting your foot in a position that allows energy to be focussed on the pedal, the minimum amount of energy is lost.
