Fizik Volta R3 K:ium Saddle
The minimal, rounded design of the Volta brings back memories of the Selle San Marco Rolls or Selle Italia Turbo- two saddles favoured my many professional riders through the years. The large flat suface of the Volta, similar to that of the Arione, allows for freedom of movement over the top of the saddle, which is perfect for riders that suffer from discomfort when confined to a static position that other saddles may restrict you to.
The shell of the Volta R3 is made from a Fiberglass Thermoplastic Composite that offers a superb weight to stiffness ratio whilst the U-shapped design lends itself to a subtle amount of natural flex to ensure a comfortable ride. The Volta also features Twin Flex gives further flex just where you need it, reliving pressure from areas of soft tissue and pudendal artery, promoting all-day comfort.
The R3 version of the Volta has K:ium rails. K:ium is a metal alloy that is 8% lighter than titanium and also boasts improved durability over other metal rails currently being used by other manufacturers.
