Fizik Antares R3 Braided Saddle
The Fizik Antares R3 Braided Saddle features carbon braided 7x9 rails that keep the weight of the saddle down to an impressive 165 grams. The braided rails are manufactured using uni-directional fibres that increase the strength and stiffness of the saddle, this means that you have a solid base on which to deliver maximum power to the pedals.
The Shell of the Antares is made from Fibreglass Thermoplastic Composite that offers a fantastic strength to weight ratio, whilst Fizik's wing Flex Technology ensures that there is some give in the saddle where you need it most (where your thighs make contact with the saddle).
The shape and profile of the Antares R3 has been designed for cyclist with intermediate flexibility. Fizik call this group of riders 'Chameleons' in their Spine Concept guidelines. The Antares offers a slight curve and wide rear section to offer increased support.
The Antares is covered in Fizik's Microtex material that is soft, supple and hard wearing. The Microtex used on Fizik saddles also perfectly matches their range of Microtex bar tape, a must for the style conscious.
