Continental Grand Prix 4000S Folding Tyre
The Continental GP4000s road tyre has something for everyone; it is folding clincher that is light enough to race on, yet still offers incredible durability and puncture protection, perfect for training or commuting.
Continental have improved on previous generations through the development of their Black Chili Compound. The dilema normally faced by tyre manufacturers is that by improving grip (for better handling and control) there must be a sacrifice in overall speed (rolling resistance) and durability. However, Continental's Black Chili Compound reaches an unprecedented level of performance and compromise. Offering the rider a claimed 26% less rolling resistance, 30% more grip and a 5% increase in mileage.
The GP4000s also features Vectran Anti-Puncture Protection- The Vectran fabrics that Continental use are five times as strong as steel and forms a reliable barrier to help stop objects penetrating through to the tube, even in wet conditions. Vectran is also much lighter than a traditional nylon double breaker.
