Catlike Rapid TT Helmet
Everyone knows that cutting valuable seconds in your time trial calls for incredible aerodynamics that reduce wind drag and push your performance to the next level, and Catlike has injected this trait into their Catlike Rapid TT Helmet.
Providing real-world aerodynamics, not just wind tunnel results, the Catlike Rapid TT Helmet is shorter and rounder at the back. The reason behind this is backed up with groundbreaking research from the University of Granada, which suggests that when a rider looks down at their handlebars and not straight ahead, a longer shaped TT helmet can create heightened aerodynamic drag.
One thing to take note of is how similar the Catlike Rapid TT Helmet and Catlike Rapid Tri Helmet are, but they have subtle differences. Whereas the Catlike Rapid Tri Helmet has three air vents which cool down the head and also has exhaust ports to expel any build up of warmth, the Rapid TT Helmet does not. This is due to the normally shorter nature of a time trial, where aerodynamics are more important than ventilation. In comparison, triathlons require greater ventilation, as they are usually longer, covering further distance.
The Rapid TT visor provides great optical clarity for the eyes, and it’s clear that Catlike has addressed every concern of the triathlete with this helmet. The visor sits far enough away from the face so you can wipe away any moisture from your face, and is added and removed via quick and easy magnets for fast entrance and exit to the helmet.
With a MPS eVo 4-in-1 adjustment system, the perfect fit is always within easy via a precision dial that keeps everything secure and comfortable.
