Astute's top-end Sella Skycarb Vented Carbon Saddle is designed for peak performance in any type of riding. Part of this dynamic level of performance is the Skycarb's ultra-light base and rail construction.

The rails are constructed from full carbon fibre with a graduated scale. One of the most forward-thinking features of the Skycarb is its Shock-Pad-Absorber-System (SPAS). This new patented system is based on two specific shock absorbers being placed between the base and rails. The SPAS system dramatically increases shock and vibration absorption while also eliminating any friction between the rail and the base for a whole new level of comfort.

Both the inside and outside base are constructed from full carbon. This combination makes one of the most structurally sound and rigid carbon saddles on the market alleviating the structural torsion caused by the vent.

The vent itself is designed to do away with the chafing or rubbing of your delicate soft tissue areas without the detrimental effects to the saddle's structural integrity that vent holes can often cause.

For the padding Astute have opted for the luxurious and futuristic Try-Density foam. This foam enhances ergonomic performance and fit by acting in a similar way to memory foam as it conforms to support your sit bones and soft tissue for a lasting feeling of comfort.

Covering the saddle is Future Microfibre. Again, yet another highly advanced material, Future microfibre is extra-strong and resistant to abrasion while at the same time being supremely soft, breathable and waterproof.
