Eurobike 2015

16th September 2015 in General by Matthew Light

Sigma Sport once again made the journey to Friedrichshafen, Germany for the cycling industry's largest annual exhibition- Eurobike. As always, this year's show was attended by all the biggest brands in the sport, exhibiting their latest product releases and ranges for the upcoming 2016 season.

CERVELO

More and more manufacturers are producing disc equipped road bikes, with Cervelo now entering the market with the R3 Disc Road Bike. This state of the art machine uses the same race geometry that is found on the non disc version, yet uses wider chainstays but does not increase their length. This maintains the bike's sharp handling capabilities.

Cervelo

A time triallist and triathlete favourite, the Cervelo P3 has a new gloss paint scheme for 2016. Other than this aesthetic change this speed machine remains the same, with a stiff and aerodynamic carbon frameset, with shielded seatstays and a dropped downtube making it seriously quick against the clock.

COLNAGO

Collaborating with Ferrari, Colnago have produced the C60 in a range of stunning colour schemes for 2016. This Ferrari red machine is paired with Campagnolo Bora Ultra Dark Clincher Wheelset and a special Italian edition Super Record groupset.

PINARELLO

Quite possibly the fastest bike at the show, Bradley Wiggins' hour record winning Pinarello wowed passers by. With a double disc wheel setup, MOST aerobars and a Team Wiggins paint scheme this was a real piece of history.

Pinarello

The Pinarello Dogma F8 is a favourite amongst the pros, as it is aerodynamic, comfortable and fast. This eye-catching yellow machine comes with Fulcrum Racing Zero Wheels and the top of the range Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 9070 groupset.

Pinarello

With the UCI allowing the use of disc brakes in the peloton for 2016, Pinarello have produced the Gan Disc. This stealth black example sits on Vision wheels and an FSA chainset.

Pinarello

Tour winning, Chris Froome's Dogma F8 was on display with a truly unique paint scheme. Pinarello have celebrated the British rider's Kenyan upbringing with rhino graphics and Froome's affectionate nickname on the toptube. The deep section Shimano Dura-Ace 9000 C50 Wheels are team issue offerings and the yellow and black Fizik Antares saddle pays tribute to the Sky rider's 2015 victory.

Rotor's Power chainset accurately records watts and transmits them to your device using ANT+. Available in a range of crankarm lengths, this version uses a MAS spider and Rotor Aero Q Chainrings.

One of our favourite team bikes of 2015, the MTN-Qhubeka Cervelo S5 ridden by Steve Cummings to stage victory at the 2015 Tour de France still had his race number and bottles on it. The ENVE Wheels and Rotor chainset both had subtle, yet stylish team graphics and the yellow and black chain was a neat touch.
